Matt graduated magna cum laude from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa and received his Bachelor's Degree in 2001. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2005.

Matt's early legal experience involved Family Law, Contract Law, Business Law, and minor criminal matters. Prior to joining Leonard Law Group, Matt has practiced Workers' Compensation Law in Illinois since 2006, representing his clients in complex Workers' Compensation cases.
Matt joined Leonard Law Group in 2022 where his practice is concentrated in the representation of injured workers before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, Circuit Court, and Appellate Court.
