Comp Checklist
The following guidelines may be helpful if you have been injured at work:
- Immediately report the work injury to your supervisor or employer
- Fill out a report of injury as detailed as you can
- Seek medical care at a hospital or occupational clinic
- Give an accurate and detailed history of how the work injury occurred to the medical staff at the hospital or clinic including any and all injured body parts
- Take down the names of witnesses and any other employers who may have contributed or caused the injury
- Do not give a statement to the insurance company or investigator, it may be used against you
- Seek follow up care if needed with a specialist
